82nd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON 16th of
NOVEMBER 2011 AT THE E.A.A.
Meeting opened at 20:10.
Apologies from:- Dean Riley & Paul King.
Committee present:- Steve Frost, Phil Chapman, Richard Cowderoy, Steve Domsalla, Paul Cox, Paul Hayes, Paul Parsons, Keith Erridge, Snowy & Tony Kirrage.
10 Club members were present; Graham Lewis, Steve Hunt, Rod Parris, Tom Hastings, Dan Wood, Bob Levett, Iain Smart, Colin Fay & Ian Hopper
Minutes of last A.G.M.
The minutes of last years A.G.M. were read out and everybody agreed with them.
They were signed by Snowy.
Matters arising from the last minutes.
There were no matters arising from the minutes of the last A.G.M.
Correspondence.
There was no correspondence.
Notification of any matter that may be brought up.
None
The chairman's report.
Snowy Ruffell gave his Chairman's report.
Snowy mentioned that the club was running well.
The Committee was doing a good job, and the Festival was run well
The Hon. Secretary's report.
Steve Frost gave the Secretary's report.
Steve mentioned, that he would be sending information, Newsletters etc., out by email in future, this would mean that the printing would be cut down. The members raffle was at last sold and the draw would be done later. He also thanked Ian Hopper for his help in club competitions.
The Hon. Treasurer's report.
Dean Riley was not in attendance, so Steve Frost gave the Treasurers report.
The accounts (which everybody had a copy in front of them) were self explanatory, and the club is £312.26 in profit.
There was then a big discussion about the club funds; Ian Hopper mentioned that the Angling Trust were doing a cheaper affiliation and insurance of about £102 (approx)
It was suggested that because the club had £3019.61 in the bank, that they should do something with it. After a very long discussion Paul Parsons proposed that the club put up a third of the profits, or £100 (£50, £30 & £20) for the top 3 Nomads anglers in the Christmas Open, but only if the profits allowed it. This was seconded by Paul Hayes, the vote was carried, 17 for, 1 abstained.
Phil Chapman proposed that we reintroduce a voucher for third place on the presentation, the voucher would be for the value of £2, this was seconded by Paul Cox, the vote was carried, 17 for, 1 abstained.
The Competition Secretary's report.
Phil Chapman gave the Hon. Competition Secretary's report.
Phil said; its been a better year than last, more species, increase in flat fish, especially dabs, no cod yet, he also thanked Ian Hopper for his help at club competitions.
Presidents Report
Tony Kirrage gave a report.
Tony said that he would be happy to stay on as President, and he was grateful for the clubs help and support at the shop.
Election of President and Vice President.
Tony Kirrage was happy to stay on as Nomads President, and Steve Domsalla was happy to stay on as Vice President.
Steve Frost proposed that we keep them on, Paul Parsons seconded.
The vote was carried unanimously.
Election of Committee.
Ian Hopper proposed that available Committee spaces only be filled at the AGM.
This was seconded by Tom Hastings.
The vote was carried, 15 for, 3 abstained.
All of the Committee were happy to remain in their current positions.
Tom Hastings proposed that we keep them on, Bob Levett seconded.
It was agreed unanimously that the committee would remain in their current positions.

Proposals.
There were several proposals; from Tom Hastings, Keith Erridge & Paul King, Tony Kirrage, Steve Frost & Paul Cox
Tom Hastings;
Tom proposed that we book in from 6:30pm till 7pm and leave as we book in, same as Anderida Club.
Paul Cox proposed that we leave it as it is, this was seconded by Keith Erridge.
The vote was carried 16 for, 2 abstained.
Keith Erridge & Paul King;
They proposed that all vehicles must leave the car park on the signal from the Competition Secretary, and not park out on the road.
Ian Hopper added to the proposal, saying that cars should not be leaving along the Lifeboat road. This was seconded by Paul Parsons.
The vote was carried with 15 votes for, 3 abstained
Tony Kirrage had 3 proposals;
i. Tony proposed that the Bass size limit be reduced to 36cm, as it is the legal take home size, the Club at Worthing had already changed, and the ISAC club had been fishing to 36cm for around 3 years.
It was decided that this would be on a trial run in the Bass & Species comps only.
It was seconded by Tom Hastings
The vote was carried with 10 for & 4 against
ii. Tony proposed that we have an experimental pegged/walk off match.
Nothing was really decided on this.
iii. Tony's third proposal was about everyone parking in the car park, not on the road.
This was dealt with in a previous proposal.
Steve Frost
Steve's proposal was that it should be made a rule that all fish MUST be brought to the weigh in in a bucket of water, if not then they will be disqualified.
It was agreed that this will be incorporated into the rules.
Election of Festival Committee.
The Festival committee was happy to continue in their positions, with the exception of Colin Mason, he was not at the AGM. The others said they could manage without Colin
The vote was carried unanimously, that the others would continue without Colin mason.

The Beach Festival will take place on Sunday 30th of September 2012, from 9am till 2pm.
AOB.
Paul Cox suggested that the Cod & Whiting competitions should change, instead of bringing back a bucket full of Whiting, we should limit it to the anglers biggest 3 Whiting, but all sizeable Cod or Codling will count.
This was seconded by Colin Fay.
The was vote was carried with 11 for, and 5 against.
ii. The draw for Christmas raffle tickets was held, 17 took part.
